Tomaž Javornik is with the Department of Communication Systems at the Jožef Stefan Institute since 1987, and at present holding the position of a senior research fellow. In 1991/1992 he spent 6 months as visiting researcher at PCL, The Polytechnic of Central London, School of Electronic System Engineering, London, UK, with the support of Tempus project, DSP Perspectives. His research and working experience are in the field of telecommunications, focusing on the development and performance analysis of physical layer for wireless communications in fixed and mobile systems including terrestrial, stratospheric and satellite systems. His previous experience encompass working in several national and international RTD projects considering terrestrial & satellite mobile communications and stratospheric telecommunication systems, including INCO-Copernicus project, several COST actions, and Framework Programme projects.
